In September 2024, I participated in a juried plein air residency in Veules-les-Roses, France, by invitation of the Vassily Polenov Association, an organization committed to promoting the legacy of Vassily Polenov and other Russian artists internationally, and fostering cultural and scholarly exchanges between France and Russia.
Over the course of the residency, I joined a select group of international artists, capturing the town’s coastal vistas and distinctive landscapes on site. The residency offered an immersive opportunity to engage deeply with light, atmosphere, and the nuances of place.

The residency concluded with a public exhibition showcasing the works produced, highlighting both artistic excellence and the spirit of international collaboration.
